Parent Coaching and Education -

From overwhelmed to connected – parenting support that really works.

What is your child's behaviour telling us?

Want to parent with confidence instead of frustration?

Parenting can feel overwhelming. You may be tired of the yelling, frustrated that rewards and punishments don’t seem to work, or unsure how to respond in heated moments. It’s natural to feel stuck, drained, or even alone — and it can be hard to know how to move forward.

I help parents and caregivers navigate these challenges with calm, clarity, and compassion. Together, I coach you through the triggers and teach you practical strategies that work in real life parenting moments.

Using approaches like Attachment Theory, Positive Psychology Parenting, Polyvagal-informed strategies, and brain science, I guide you to respond thoughtfully instead of reactively, creating a more emotionally secure, peaceful and connected home.

With support, guidance, and the right tools, lasting change is possible.

Through therapy, parents quickly begin to notice:

  • stronger connections with their children
  • Reduced conflict
  • Less stress
  • Greater confidence and pride in their parenting choices.

Even if you’ve been struggling for years, you can move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable, connected, and hopeful about your family’s future.

Are you

I use a blend of different evidence-based approaches to help parents learn, grow and create real change at home

This approach helps children build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing through:

  • Growth mindset — helping children believe they can improve with practice, which strengthens resilience and self-esteem
  • Identifying values + meaning — so children choose helpful behaviour because it feels right on the inside, not just to avoid consequences
  • Strength-based parenting — noticing and reflecting their strengths back to them, which builds a healthy sense of self-worth
  • Emotion coaching — helping children name, understand and process their feelings, which reduces overwhelm and improves emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Positive Psychology Interventions (PPI) — practical exercises such as gratitude practices, strengths spotting and reflective “wins of the day,” which help train the brain to notice what’s working, not just what’s going wrong, and build everyday wellbeing and resilience

Attachment Theory helps us understand the central role the parent–child relationship plays in emotional and social development. When a child feels safe, understood and emotionally supported by their parent, their body can settle and the brain is able to learn, problem-solve, regulate and connect more easily.

This secure connection becomes the foundation for resilience, self-worth, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships throughout life.

In therapy, we focus on creating a strengthening this bond.

This explains how the nervous system responds to stress. When the body feels unsafe, kids (and adults) react - yelling, shutting down, avoiding, panicking.

When we help the nervous system settle, regulation becomes possible - and problem-solving suddenly works again.

IFS helps us understand our “inner world.” We all have different parts inside - a worried part, an angry part, a perfectionistic part, and instead of fighting them, we become curious and compassionate toward them. IFS can help you understand where your triggers come from, and teaches skills to pause, notice what’s happening on the inside, and respond with more calm and mindfulness rather than reacting automatically.

Over time this builds stronger self-compassion, less shame, greater emotional awareness, and more choice in how they respond when emotions run high.

Parenting is hard — you don’t have to do it alone. Support is here to help you create a calmer, more connected home.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I offer in-person therapy at my office in Castle Hill, NSW, or online via Zoom for your convenience.

For child and teen therapy:

The first session is parent-only. I gather your child’s history, understand current challenges, and learn about your family’s experience so we can create a clear path forward.

For adult therapy:

We clarify your goals, explore what you’re hoping to shift, and you’ll get a feel for my therapeutic approach and how we’ll work together.

As a psychotherapist, I do not require a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You can begin sessions without a GP referral.

Psychotherapists are not currently included in the Medicare rebate scheme, although our professional association (PACFA) is actively advocating for this to change.

While I cannot offer Medicare rebates at this time, my session fees are set lower than many psychologists, which helps reduce the financial burden. Another difference to note is that Medicare rebates for psychologists usually apply to a limited number of sessions (10 per year), after which the full fee applies. With me, your session fee remains consistent throughout your therapeutic journey, without sudden increases once a limit is reached.

Yes - I can work with NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed.

I’m not an NDIS-registered provider, so I’m unable to support clients with NDIA-managed (agency-managed).

A psychologist focuses on assessing and diagnosing mental health conditions, often using structured therapies. A psychotherapist specialises in deeper, longer-term work that explores patterns, emotions, relationships, and the underlying experiences shaping your wellbeing.

Both professions support mental health — the difference is mainly in the approach and the depth of work.

Therapy with me is deeper, long-term work that focuses on meaningful and lasting change. Because everyone’s needs and goals are different, the number of sessions varies from person to person.

You’re always in control of your journey - you can pause or stop therapy at any time.

Individual sessions are $180.

Payment is made after the session via EFTPOS or credit card (excluding AMEX). Cash is also accepted if the exact amount is provided, as no change is kept on-site.

For online sessions, an invoice is sent to you after the appointment for convenient payment.
