Adult Psychotherapy - Hills District NSW

Long term therapy for deep lasting change.

We focus on deep, meaningful change that lasts

If you’re ready to do the deeper work, support is here.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Anxiety, stress, long-standing patterns, and relationship challenges can leave you feeling stuck, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself. Often, these struggles aren’t new, they’re old emotional wounds showing up in the present. If you notice yourself becoming easily triggered, knowing what you want to do but feeling unable to do it, or repeating familiar patterns, this work can help you break the cycle and reconnect with yourself.

In a compassionate, non-judgmental space, we gently explore the patterns beneath your emotions and behaviours. Together, we focus on helping you feel more present, build self-compassion instead of self-criticism, understand your triggers, regulate emotions more easily, and develop healthier ways of coping.

This is not a quick fix. It is slow, relational work that helps you tune in to what’s happening inside — not just analyse it from the mind.

Over time, old patterns begin to loosen, your nervous system softens, and you start to respond rather than react.

Through therapy, many people notice profound, lasting change:

  • Greater emotional balance and confidence
  • Healthier relationships
  • Clearer boundaries
  • A deeper sense of inner stability.

Even if you’ve been struggling for years, meaningful change is possible. With support, you can move from feeling stuck to living with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of calm and connection within yourself.

How I work with you?

I integrate a number of evidence-based, relational and body-based approaches — including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal-informed therapy, an attachment-informed approach, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and Focusing therapy.

These frameworks support us in working gently with the nervous system, understanding the protective parts of you that developed for a reason, and building more self-compassionate ways of relating to yourself and others.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I offer in-person therapy at my office in Castle Hill, NSW, or online via Zoom for your convenience.

For child and teen therapy:

The first session is parent-only. I gather your child’s history, understand current challenges, and learn about your family’s experience so we can create a clear path forward.

For adult therapy:

We clarify your goals, explore what you’re hoping to shift, and you’ll get a feel for my therapeutic approach and how we’ll work together.

As a psychotherapist, I do not require a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You can begin sessions without a GP referral.

Psychotherapists are not currently included in the Medicare rebate scheme, although our professional association (PACFA) is actively advocating for this to change.

While I cannot offer Medicare rebates at this time, my session fees are set lower than many psychologists, which helps reduce the financial burden. Another difference to note is that Medicare rebates for psychologists usually apply to a limited number of sessions (10 per year), after which the full fee applies. With me, your session fee remains consistent throughout your therapeutic journey, without sudden increases once a limit is reached.

Yes - I can work with NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed.

I’m not an NDIS-registered provider, so I’m unable to support clients with NDIA-managed (agency-managed).

A psychologist focuses on assessing and diagnosing mental health conditions, often using structured therapies. A psychotherapist specialises in deeper, longer-term work that explores patterns, emotions, relationships, and the underlying experiences shaping your wellbeing.

Both professions support mental health — the difference is mainly in the approach and the depth of work.

Therapy with me is deeper, long-term work that focuses on meaningful and lasting change. Because everyone’s needs and goals are different, the number of sessions varies from person to person.

You’re always in control of your journey - you can pause or stop therapy at any time.

Individual sessions are $180.

Payment is made after the session via EFTPOS or credit card (excluding AMEX). Cash is also accepted if the exact amount is provided, as no change is kept on-site.

For online sessions, an invoice is sent to you after the appointment for convenient payment.
